Dig in to What’s in Store for Workshops—and Dignify Expo With Your Presence

SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 15 Workshops and Early-Bird Reg is OpenFinding technical solutions for technical problems is what SCTE is all about, and fulfilling this mission reaches a crescendo each year through our flagship event, SCTE Cable-Tec Expo®. Early-bird registration is now underway!

Considering the technical workshops alone, I know the high value that Expo will deliver, which means that wisely registering now as an early bird is a real bargain.

SCTE is honored to have Balan Nair of Liberty Global in charge of the Expo Program Committee this year. Balan and team received 245 abstracts from across the industry (up from 203 last year) in response to the annual call for papers. After careful consideration, they selected 74 of the abstracts. Attendees of Expo’s technical workshops can expect to hear the best of the best.

The technical workshops, 35 in all, are each organized into one of five tracks: 1) Business-to-Business Solutions and Energy 2020; 2) Next-Generation Services; 3) Wireless and Home Networks; 4) Wireline: RF; and 5) Wireline: Fiber and Core.

Come prepared to learn the industry’s ABCs. The workshops will cover such ground as PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness), NaaS (Network as a Service), IoT (Internet of Things), NFV (Network Functions Virtualization), LAA (License Assisted Access), DCAs (Distributed CCAP Architectures), and BGP (Border Gateway Protocol).

Expo is all-engineering, all-the-time, and it offers something for everyone. You have something to offer, too, as an attendee. The knowledge sharing that Expo is known for stands to gain from the wisdom and experience you have accumulated in your own area of expertise. Be one of those early birds, and be with us in New Orleans in October. SCTE members enjoy the most savings, so be sure to join up if you are not yet a member.

Much more is to come. Stay tuned to learn about other great Expo 2015 attractions.
